Web 2.0 tools review
SketchUp is a program that creates buildings, blueprints and other building designs using a program through that you must download. This tool is great for not only any business operations you have but it is also a great tool for just messing around with! SketchUp was bought from Google by another company called Trimble. Google sold the program in 2012 for a very large profit. This program was created by Brad Shell in 2000, eventhough most people think it was created by Google. Like I said, this progrm does require you to download it, but its worth it with the smooth and vast workings of the program exceding any other programs like it that I perused. You can find the site to download this tool here.

TubeChop is a great little tool for cutting a portion of a video into a smaller clip like a Vine. The most use of this tool is by Vine users. You can use home videos, Youtube videos or any video on the internet really. You can also use this tool to share the video clip that you created, which I beleive to be very handy instead of having to post it to a comletely different site. This site is very simple to use but is also really smooth. I would give this a 4 out of 5 because of the overall satisfaction I had when using this tool. There is a lot of controversy over whether or not this site is legal and all the research I've done says it is so hopefully it's not illegal. You can reach the tool here.
FluxTime is an animation and editing site that not only creates your projects, but also shares them with other users that use the tool. The target group for this site is children but it can be used by adults as well. The reason its mainly used for kids is because of the simplicity of the site and editing tools. The site currently has over 25,000 unique visitors and 1,500 resident animators. You can create clip art, different characters and much more with this site. The tool was created by Marcus Winter who currently live in the United Kingdom. I would rate this tool 4 out of 5 due to the easy access and use. This is a free tool but may require downloads for some content.
You can reach the site here Hot Potatoes is a website where you can download any of the six applications that allow you to create crosswords, puzzles and other games. I was able to make a multiple choice question game with one of the applications they provide. Everything is free but they do require you to download the applications. Even with the downloading, there were no pop up ads or any problem I found. This site and application were created by the research team at the University of Victoria in 1998. All aspects of the software are handled by Half Baked Software Inc. I would rate this tool 4 out of 5 due to the many different games and things you can do. Keep in mind, you must download something to use this tool.
You can reach the site here Hudl is both an app and a website that allows either you or your coach to upload, watch and edit film from your sport. The sites majority is football players but they have many other sports on the site as well. The site was founded by David Graff, Brian Kaiser and John Wirtz in 2006. There is also over 114,00 active teams and 3.5 million unique users on the website. The site is also active all around the world including South America, Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. I would rate this tool 5 out of 5 due to its overall satisfaction rate.
You can reach the website here. Ifunny is an app and website that allows you to swipe through hilarious pictures and videos. This app is not for any age however, due to the amount of crude and inappropriate jokes. I would say this app is meant for people 15 and older due to its content. Ifunny was launched on April first, 2011. It has since became the most popular comedy and joke app on both Android and Iphone. In my opinion, it is funny to an extent but can be annoying and repetitive. I would rate it 3 out of 5 due to the annoyingness part of the app.
You can get to the website here Netflix is both a website and an app founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph. The tool is used for both ordering and streaming movies and television shows. This tool is known as the number one entertainment streaming site. There is huge selection of approximately 7000 movies and 2000 shows. In my opinion this site is very useful and entertaining, costing only a small amount of 8-9$ a month. This is defiantly my favorite movie site. I would give this site 5 out of 5 stars.
You can find this tool at www.netflix.com/browse This blog will be used for my Web 2.0 class. I will be posting reviews of different Web 2.0 tools here.
